PMD and CD characterization of chirped fiber bragg gratings employing photonic microwave technique

Abstract

We present and demonstrate experimentally a new method for measuring the polarization mode dispersion (PMD) of chirped fiber Bragg gratings. The technique can also be used to measure chromatic dispersion (CD) more accurately by eliminating the influence of PMD.
