Abstract
The effect of annealing variables on the viscoelastic performance of wool, polyester and wool/polyester fabrics are analysed using the free volume concept. The time shift factors, dependent on annealing time and temperature are used to construct a series of master stress/relaxation curves, a convenient means of describing the ageing and annealing behaviour of textiles.
