Abstract
The photoinduced change of the transport characteristic in (La,Ca)MnOδthin films was observed under illumination with visible light. The transition temperature Tcin oxygen deficient thin films increases with increasing light intensity. The photoinduced effect in fully oxidized thin films is in sharp contrast to that observed in the oxygen deficient samples. This effect relaxes back within several days at room temperature. We suggest that a novel photodoping effect may exist in doped manganites.
