Abstract
In order to study the ferroelectric phase transition of relaxors, internal friction (IF) and Young's modulus measurements were carried out on [(1-x)%]Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-x%PbTiO3. For PMNTx(13≤x≤33), a spontaneous (R-F) phase transition was detected by the dielectric measurement. Young's modulus softening and an IF peak were observed at the phase transition temperature. For PMNTx(0≤x<13), no spontaneous R-F phase transition was detected by dielectric measurement.
