Abstract

Two flexible techniques for fabricating phase shifted fiber Bragg gratings(PSFBG) were proposed and investigated experimentally. With these techniques, a distributed feedback fibre laser with a linewidth of 1.16 kHz and a tunable fiber ring laser were attained.
