Abstract

In this paper, a personal identification system which can detect the liveness of a person is proposed. The proposed system uses the infrared palm images which contains the palm vein information. This information represents the liveness of an object. The proposed system include: 1) Infrared palm images capture; 2) Detection of Region of Interest; 3) Palm vein extraction by multiscale filtering; 4) Similarity computation. The experimental results demonstrate that the recognition rate using palm vein is good.
