Abstract
The working method of a conventional package-dyeing machine is explained. A new generation, the COS series from Fong's National Engineering, was launched at ITMA Asia. The innovative features are listed and the COS series accommodates all natural and MMF fibres and blends. Pressurised hydroextraction and rapid fill and drain are two further innovations. The multifunction intelligent rinsing (MIR) system incorporates four special features. A rapid labour-saving device is present. Productivity can be boosted by nine times as one employee can unload one tonne of cones in 20 minutes as against three employees taking an hour previously. The technology is covered with four parameters listed for rapid bleaching. The process is discussed and COS liquor ratio noted. The quick dyeing method is amplified with four particular features. Rapid rinsing is also an advantage and MIR ensures reduced use of power, water and steam. Overall the new COS package-dyeing is both more efficient and more environmentally friendly.
