N2 - In basketball training, players are required to make quick and accurate decisions while maintaining clear selfperception of competence in the game. This study proposed the basketball perception evaluation channel as an innovative approach to adjust players' perceptions of competence. Twelve youth male players participated in the study, which involved video feedback and questioning tests, to assess their decision-making awareness and self-confidence level in offensive, defensive and overall performance. The results indicated that there were differences between the self-confidence levels and decision-making awareness of players, revealing instances of overconfidence or underconfidence in their basketball abilities and highlighting inaccuracies in the players' perceptions of competence. The basketball self-perception evaluation channel demonstrated a fun and creative approach for evaluating and observing the abilities and psychological states of players, aiding them in becoming aware of their actual basketball abilities and confidence states, and assisting coaches in providing targeted training and team management.
