Optimal locations for road pricing cordons

Abstract

The optimal locations for road pricing cordons are discussed. The use of CORDON method to identify toll levels for single links and use of LOCATE for identification of suitable charging locations is elaborated. The illustrative results for a small network PACMAN are also presented. The results for PACMAN network shows that the method finds the optimal charge levels in most cases.
