Abstract

In this paper, a novel targeted magnetic fluid hyperthermia (MFH) system is proposed to realize accurate focusing of magnetic field for tumor treatment. The merit of the proposed design is that the area being focused is modulated precisely according to the shape and size of the irregular tumor with temperature feedback from surroundings cells. It is verified through experiments that using this creative method, the temperature rise in nearby normal tissues can be reduced greatly.
