Abstract

The One Belt One Road (OBOR) initiative, that is, the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road policy, is a great vision for economic integration of China with Asia, Europe and Africa. The initiative was put forward and developed in an era of increasing populism and protectionism around the world, and it becomes a symbol of commitment to the continuation of global economic integration and the building of a community of shared future for mankind. The OBOR Initiative is a dynamic process in which the content and scope of economic integration and the list of member countries and areas have been constantly enriched and expanded. The OBOR Initiative is China’s national strategy of promoting international economic integration. Given its vast geographical coverage and economy size, the emergence of the Belt-Road country group is an important new development in the world economy in recent years.
