Abstract

We propose a novel fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensing scheme based on the measurement of radio-frequency (RF) signals. High sensitivity of the FBG sensor for strain measurement is experimentally demonstrated. The proposed sensing scheme has potential to build an FBG-based wireless sensing systems.
