Normalized model for polarized backward pumped fiber Raman amplifiers

Abstract

We proposed a normalized model to describe the general dynamics of polarization attraction in backward-pumped FRAs using different fibers. The results indicate polarization attraction is mainly determined by Raman gain instead of nonlinear polarization rotation.
