Abstract
Disclosed according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is a system and method for selectively imaging peripheral nerves rather than other tissues such as muscles, vessels, adipose tissues, ligaments, etc., without external labels, in which intensive reflective light emitted at a specific excitation wavelength from the peripheral nerve can be detected on the basis of the thin-film interference phenomenon caused by the characteristic lamellar structure of the myelin sheath of nerve fibers.
