Abstract

A non-invasive vital signs monitoring system based on fiber-optic interferometer is presented, where human being's heart beat and respiration signals can be precisely extracted and monitored in an unobtrusive way. The fiber sensing system is wholly embedded in a thin mat placed on the mattress.
