Abstract
The possibility of recycling of these wastes in the construction industry was thus of increasing importance. In addition to the environmental benefits in reducing the demand on land for disposing the waste, the recycling of C&D wastes can also help to conserve natural materials and to reduce the cost of waste treatment prior to disposal. This paper presented the new techniques for sustainable management and recycling of C&D wastes. These techniques include: (a) selective demolition; (b) using of recycled aggregate (coarse and fine) up to 100% in a mechanized molding method for producing concrete bricks and blocks and (c) using higher than 50% of coarse recycled aggregate in steam cured precast concrete.
