Abstract
A new loadflow methodology based on load transfer and load buses elimination is proposed in this paper. The iteration number and calculation time of the proposed algorithm have been compared with different loadflow methods such as Newton-Raphson (NR), Fast-Decoupled (FD) and a recently published Bus Elimination (BE) method, with respect to different load characteristics and different system R/X ratios. Simulation result shows that the proposed method is as fast as FD and much faster than NR and BE in general. Moreover, a definite advantage over FD is that the convergence of the proposed technique is not affected by the R/X ratio of the system and accurate load characteristics can be modeled.
