Multiple transmission filters for enhanced energy in modelocked fiber lasers

Abstract

We demonstrate that incorporating multiple sets of waveplates and polarizers in a ring cavity laser allows for the suppression of multi-pulsing and a significant enhancement (an order of magnitude) of the mode-locked pulse energy.
