Abstract
This article proposes and implements a multi-resonating-compensation (MRC)-based multi-channel multi-pickup (MCMP) wireless power transfer (WPT) system. The proposed compensation topology holds triple or more resonating points, which can establish multiple transmission channels with minimum reactive power losses without utilizing multiple transmitters or multiple inverters. The calculation complexity for MRC is as simple as that for dual-resonating-compensation, which costs fewer computing resources and hence facilitates the realization. In addition, this article adopts the amplitude overlay modulation method to arbitrarily distribute the desired output power under different transmission channels. Theoretical analysis, design procedure, and verification results are given to verify the feasibility and flexibility of the proposed MRC-based MCMP WPT system.
