Abstract

This paper is aimed at studying mechanical property, electrical property, piezoresistive effect, thermal-resistance effect and electromagnetic property of the cementitious composites filled with different content of multi-layer graphenes (MLGs). Results demonstrated that the compressive strength and elastic modulus of cementitious composites filled with MLGs increased 54% and 50%, respectively. The percolation threshold of electrical resistivity of cementitious composites filled with MLGs is nearly 2 vol %. Cementitious composites filled with MLGs possess sensitive piezoresistive effect and stable responsibility to cyclic quasi static and dynamic loading conditions. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and equivalent circuit were used to analyze the conductive mechanism of the cementitious composites filled with MLGs. The sensitivity of thermal-resistance effect of the cementitious composites filled with MLGs presents a decreasing trend with the increase of MLG content. The best shielding effectiveness of cementitious composites filled with MLGs is 1.6 times of that of cementitious composites without MLGs. The highest electromagnetic wave absorbing performance of cementitious composites filled with MLGs is −33 dB, which is nearly 7 times of that of cementitious composites without MLGs.
