Abstract

The increasing awareness of human health and hazards to the environment is an important issue relating to the chemical modification or treatment of textile materials. As the technological development makes rapid progress, physicochemical processes, as an alternative to conventional chemical treatments on textile materials are refined. This paper introduces several physicochemical processes that are applicable to textile modification. It also outlines the advantages and disadvantages of these physicochemical processes.
