Minimizing sidelobe levels and facilitating null placements of nonlinear antenna arrays using an improved Particle Swarm Optimization

Abstract

To minimize the sidelobe levels and place null at arbitrary angles for a nonlinear antenna array, an improved Particle Swarm Optimization (IPSO) algorithm is proposed and employed in a typical case study. Promising results are reported.
