Abstract

Based on matrix analysis methods, an accurate equivalent circuit model of a 2-dimentional(2-D) eddy-current magnetic field coupled with stranded windings and solid conductors is developed by using loop method and nodal method separately. The formulas of impedance computation and the formulas of the total power loss computation for magnetic field-circuit coupled problems are deduced. In the proposed work, each solid conductor is represented by circuit branches and the effect of eddy-current can be fully included in the equivalent circuit model. An example of a transformer is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
