Abstract
A high-frequency transformer design for a 20 kW high power charging station for electrical vehicles is presented. The structure of the high-frequency transformer, in which the primary sides are in series and secondary sides are in parallel, is employed in the main circuit design. The overall power output as well as the output efficiency of the charging station are both improved with the optimized design. Experimental results are also provided to validate the proposed method.
