Abstract
A digital filter structure using a passive digital two-port is proposed. The structure possesses very low sensitivities and roundoff noise as compared to other realization methods. Moreover, the problem of zero-input, constant-input, and force-input oscillations can be eliminated due to the passivity property of the digital two-port. With appropriate output configurations, a multioutput second-order digital filter can be obtained for simultaneous realization of all types of second-order transfer functions.
