Loss Characteristics of Helically Twisted Hollow Elliptical Core Fibers

Abstract

We study the loss of helically twisted hollow elliptical core fibers. The results suggest the structure with a circular jacket shows a significant resonant peak and exhibits strong dichroism in the 0.65-1 μm wavelength range.
