Abstract

we propose and experimentally demonstrate a novel long range distributed vibration sensor by using two counter-propagating interferometers in different cores of a seven-core fiber with 38.5 km sensing range, which is able to get rid of the detrimental impact of Rayleigh backscattered light by using only one laser.
