The experimental results of Long-period fiber grating (LPG) temperature arid strain sensor are reported. The measured temperature and strain sensitivity p'fLPG is higher than that of normal fiber Bragg grating (FBG).In the temperature range 11-80°C and strain rang 0-100gf, the response curves of LPG have good linearity. We measured the temperature and strain simultaneously, by utilizing the property that two different transmission wavelengths of the same LPG have different temperature and strain sensitivity.
