N2 - Linear computational problems emerge from various fields such as engineering and finance. Due to the large scale of these problems, they are often hard to be processed by resource-constrained devices. Thus, outsourcing becomes a natural solution. In this paper, we propose a Secure OutSourcing scheme (LinSOS) for Linear computations. The proposed scheme (LinSOS) is based on affine mapping and imposes only linear operations at local environment. As a result, the end-users can enjoy impressive computational gains from outsourcing. We also provide a verification scheme such that end-users can always receive valid results. Our extensive security and complexity analysis and performance comparison with existing schemes show that LinSOS is both secure and efficient.
