Abstract

By means of radial Dynamic Leaching Test (r-DLT), it was studied that the behaviors of heavy metal hydroxides in the solidified and stabilized (S/S) samples contained cement and rejected fly ash. It was found that the heavy metals transferred from the inner part of samples to the solid-liquid interface during the leaching test. However, the lead accumulated in the area closed to the solid-liquid interface and was not removed from the solid phase to the leachant in time. The copper accumulated in a wider area than that of the lead. The results also showed that the zinc was easy to leach without accumulation, but adding Ca(OH)2can retard this leaching.
