Laser surface modification of NiTi with Mo and Zr

Abstract

This paper reports the results of laser surface modification of NiTi with Mo and Zr. The aims of the modification are to improve the hardness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance of NiTi. Significant increases in hardness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance were recorded in the modified layer.
