Abstract

This study provides the main themes of reasons and resolutions based on the global threats of the COVID pandemic, labor shortage, and the rising minimum wage. The evidence-based methodology is incorporated to address the labor issues and related effects on the quality of work in the Asian hospitality market. These challenges have complicated hospitality firms in Asia, for example, sharing staff with other industries, promising higher wages to the workforce, and using hotels for quarantine purposes. Insights and guidance that meet the operational needs of practitioners and policymakers are provided from the reviews of the available evidence in the context of Asian hospitality.
