Abstract

A numerical study of interaction of two coaxial weakly perturbed vortex rings with phase difference θ=90°and without θ=0°is reported. The model of the vortex rings is generated by thin vortex filament and their evolution is solved by means of three dimensional vortex blob method. Phase difference of the two vortex rings is an important parameter to their evolution and the slip through process.
