Abstract
Some aspects of exchange bias between antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic materials were investigated. The relationship between exchange bias and enhanced coercivity was discussed. The hysteresis loop of an exchange-biased ferromagnetic layer was found to be shifted with respect to zero field. Results how that the micromagnetic structure in the antiferromagnet which maintains exchange bias at one interface is sufficiently randomized.
