Abstract

The accessories for intimate apparel consist of an underwire, hook-and-eye tape, a ring and slider, and buckle and bone. This chapter begins with a review of the challenges in designing innovative accessories. It continues with an overview of recent developments, focusing on two main categories of accessories for intimate apparel, namely, underwires and hooks and eyes. The new developments with traditional products are also compared. This provides a source of reference for the design and development of future accessories for intimate apparel.
