Abstract

This paper deals with the dynamic simulation of mechanical systems composed of linear and non-linear elements. This simulation method is based upon the vector-network technique in which non-linear type dampers have been introduced. The purpose of this research is to study the influence of suspension parameters such as the stiffness coefficient and the damping coefficient on the performance of mechanical systems in general and of vehicles in particular.
