Abstract
Microstructures of eutectoid Zn-Al alloys were studied after extrusion at different temperatures. The decomposition of the newly observed η'Ephase and the four phase transformation, α + ε → T' + η, were found to be responsible for the dimensional changes during the isothermal holding. Influence of extrusion temperature on microstructure of the alloy is discussed.
