Abstract
In this paper, homogenous interior point algorithm is proposed for feasibility detection and solution for the optimal power flow (OPF) problem. By the introduction of homogenization variables, homogenized monotone complimentary problem is firstly transcribed from generalized monotone complementary problem and then solved by a homogeneous interior point method. Compared with conventional optimization methods, this algorithm can give either an approximation optimum solution or detect possible infeasibility or unboundedness reliably in optimization process according to the value of the homogeneous variables. The proposed method is validated in the IEEE 30-bus system.
