Abstract

We have demonstrated novel in-service signal quality monitoring technique for constant amplitude NRZ-DPSK signal using asynchronous amplitude histogram evaluation. Information about dispersion and OSNR can be directly extracted from the amplitude histogram of NRZ-DPSK signal.
