In-fiber interferometer in air-core photonic bandgap fibers

Abstract

A Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) comprising an offset splicing and a nonadiabatic taper was fabricated in an air-core photonic bandgap fiber. Temperature and strain responses of the MZI were experimentally measured.
