Abstract

Two new technologies for improving the classification of fine-particle slurries, eg. kaolin slurries, using decanter centrifuges are described. These are an adjustable gate to control the cake flow and an efficient feed accelerator (XL·PLUS). Examples are presented to illustrate the benefits of the two systems.
