Abstract
An improved computational model of metallic fibrous filter for diesel particulate trap was presented. On the basis of flow field calculation results and assumptions of boundary conditions, the effects of both particles drew back to the fiber surface because of the fiber downstream vortex and the deposition of particles on the fiber surface are considered. Computational results agree generally better with those from experiments, as compared with those computation results without these two effects considered.
