abstract = "Hybrid/online teaching in general and HyFlex teaching in particular are now widely adopted among higher education institutions around the world due to their hybrid (physical/virtual) advantage and flexible arrangement. To gain a better understanding of hybrid/online teaching, we have conducted a survey at the International Conference on Teaching, Assessment and Learning for Engineering (TALE) 2022, one of the flagship conferences of the IEEE Education Society (i.e., for international conference participants from more than 16 countries/cities/regions). The aim is to evaluate hybrid/online teaching in general and the 4C elements (Content, Collaboration, Community and Communication) of a hybrid/online classroom model. Results from this international survey provide valuable insights, perspectives and good practices, and point to future research directions on this important topic.",
