Abstract
The holobalancing technique was explained by making use of the theory of rotor dynamics. and The concept of modal ratio among measurement points was introduced and applied to holobalancing of the asymmetric rotors. The feasibility and methods to obtain modal ratio among measurement points were analyzed, and various balancing schemes were presented. The experimental results show that this method can be effectively applied in field balancing processes.
