Abstract
The high temperature sensitivity of fiber grating with polymer jacket was demonstrated. By packaging fiber grating with a special polymer of large expansion coefficient, its thermal sensitivity has been improved by about twenty-three times, and a large wavelength-tuning range of over 41 nm has been achieved. This is the largest thermal sensitivity and temperature-tuned range reported to our knowledge up to now.
