Abstract

An approach to enhance the efficiency of polymer photovoltaic cells using self-organization of polymer cells, was discussed. Polymer solar cells have shown potential to harness solar energy in a cost-effective way. Controlling the active layer growth rate results in an increased hole mobility and balanced charge transport. It was found that it resulted in much-improved device performance particularly in external quantum efficiency.
