Abstract
Heterogeneous defect domains in single-crystalline hexagonal WS2were investigated by researchers. They selected monolayer WS2to explore such an issue. Hexagonal WS2flakes were grown by CVD using a liquid precursor and a promoter under hydrogen-rich conditions. They observed triangular heterogeneous defect domains patterned within hexagonal WS2flakes, similar in appearance to the radioactive hazard symbol.
