Abstract

This paper is concerned with a multi-component fluid flow (heat, air and vapour) through three-dimensional porous media, which is described by a system of nonlinear, degenerate and strongly coupled parabolic equations. We prove global existence of a weak solution to the system with commonly used boundary conditions in engineering and under general hypotheses of the physical parameters. Positivity of temperature and nonnegativity of densities are also obtained.
