Abstract
The effect of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNT) on the heat absorbability of epoxy-based composite structures was studied. The increased heat absorbability of epoxy-based composite materials was used for high heat storage capacity for solar energy storage systems. The coiled multiwalled carbon nanotubes (CCNT) had more pentagon-heptagon-pair nodes on the sidewall as compared to the SWNT. The use of CCNT in polymer-based structures had lead to the development of heat shielding polymer structures.
