Abstract

This Chapter discusses the inadequacy of health care services in Hong Kong for anorexia nervosa and pinpoints the gaps in social work knowledge and practice of anorexia nervosa. The chapter focuses the discussion on three themes: 1. Evaluating the existing health care services in the conceptualization and implementation of anorexia nervosa. 2. Rethinking the limitations and possibilities of the social work profession on anorexia nervosa. 3. Revisiting the usages of family therapy for anorexia nervosa.
